Stacy is a passionate health coach and physical therapist living in Grand Rapids, MI. She earned her doctorate in physical therapy in 2006 and continued her education by becoming certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (link) in 2016. The combination of these two specialties gives her a unique and holistic approach to care.
Throughout Stacy’s training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (link), she studied over 100 different dietary theories and gained insight from some of the top leaders in health and wellness. Her teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, director for the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Mark Hyman, functional medicine leader and director of the UltraWellness Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; and many other authorities in nutrition.

I Love People: Everyone has a story, a passion, a purpose, and I am so grateful for every chance I have to meet someone and learn what makes them who they are.
I Love My Family: There a three people in this world who have taught me more about endless love, fierce determination, and humility than I even knew existed. I married Scott in 2003 and we became a family of four with Zachary (2009) and Mackenzie (2011). They are my greatest adventure!
I Love Jesus: My faith in God runs deep and it is this faith that daily refines and defines me. Jesus is why my life has joy and peace. He set me free!
I Love To Learn: I graduated from Andrews University in 2006 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and spent the following years learning and growing as a clinician. I received my certification as a holistic health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2016. The combination of these two specialties gives me a unique and holistic approach to care.
I Love Health: Healthy will look and feel different on each person, but I believe it is achieved through a balance of the physical, emotional, and spiritual areas of your life. We become healthy from the inside out.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellbeing which includes looking at how all the areas of your life are connected. I believe optimal health is a balance of the physical, emotional, and spiritual areas of your life fueled by healthy eating and living intentionally. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for us to look at your current eating and lifestyle patterns, and then build a plan for success based on what you would like to achieve in terms of health and wellness. As we work together, you will gain a better understanding of what foods and lifestyle choices work best for you and this knowledge will carry over to lasting changes to improve your energy, balance, and health.

Bio-IndividualityTM : Each person has unique food and lifestyle needs that will. What works for one may not work for another, and this is the problem behind fad diets. One person has great success with a certain way of eating and sells it as the cure for all people, but it is not optimal or sustainable for all. Through this principle of bio-individuality, I will support you to determine what changes are most effective and beneficial for you based on your unique needs, lifestyle, and preferences. This individualized approach is what helps ensure that you will succeed!
Primary FoodTM : Healthy living is not just about the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. It involves healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and spirituality. These “primary foods” are essential forms of nourishment, and when they are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in determining what areas of your life may need more attention and coach you to make the changes necessary to living a more balanced and fulfilled life!
